Noen ord fra Suzanne om hvordan sangen ble til:
This song was the most surreal to record and is the one on the album that makes me cry. I guess because I remember exactly where I was 12 years ago and what I was going through as I wrote the lyrics.
So many thoughts… I could probably write a book just as a backstory to this song

“I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.”Revelation 3:18 NIV
I read this and thought, «how do you buy gold from God?
The short answer:
I believe it’s by our willingness to follow him through the «fire»,(aka hardships, persecution, spiritual tests) where we become refined and purified.
We face the choice: be offended by the journey or humble ourselves and offer praise knowing that He is with us. He is for us and He loves us.
When we go through the dark night, we see something we’ve never seen before. We experience Him in a way that we wouldn’t otherwise. We come out on the other side with some of our rough edges chiseled away and look a little more like Jesus.
Writing this song, I thought of Paul and Silas, Shadrach Meshach and Abednego and I think often of John the Baptist, sitting in prison awaiting his death. The answer to his confusion was this: “Blessed is he who is not offended in me. Matthew 11:6.”
Matthew 24 talks about how in the end many believers will be offended and fall away. I know the choice is there.
I hope this song encourages and supports you on your journey.
Hold on and praise him through it. Keep the faith.
